A rare 1950s vintage Boys Brigade banner on pole

A wonderful and rare 1950s Boys Brigade linen banner / flag on pole. 

Double sided with charming hand stitched embellishments for the 1st Lower Darwin Company, along with the Boys Brigade badge and the Union Jack. 

The vintage flag is in amazing condition and still attached to the pole. 

The pole is topped with the original two sided boys brigade brass finial. 

The two original flag cords still hang from the pole. 

The pole has a well constructed brass screw fitting to allow it to be split down for easier handling and transport. 

Banners from this era are certainly scarce and examples this clean and complete are very hard to find. 

A perfect interior design piece, a must for a collector. 

Also a great prop for tv.

Flag measures without fringe 97cm high x 125cm wide

Pole 232cm long 

Apart from one historic minor white paint mark to the flag, overall the condition is excellent. Minor wear and tear as expected. Some slight green tarnishing to one side of the finial.
