A wonderful early 20th century taxidermy study of a Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) mask, by world renowned taxidermist Peter Spicer & Sons.
Well mounted and displaying lovely deep hues to the pelt. The eyes are particularly striking on this example. Set in one of the more sought after poises.
Supplied on the original wooden shield with the impressed mark for P. Spicer & Sons of Leamington Spa.
This is one of two Peter Spicer Fox masks we have available. The other will be listed separately.
The specimen is in nice original untouched condition.
With only very minor age related wear and tear to the tips of the ears.
