A striking pale green antique canvas banner with hand painted italics.

Measuring just over 7ft wide and made from heavy duty cotton sail cloth. With six original reinforced attachment eyelets to the outer edge.

Made to advertise Player's Weights cigarettes and Player's Airman Tobaccos.

Both of these tobacco products were very popular during the 1920s.

The banner would have been suspended outside a shop or on the side of a wagon.

The bold black font has worn back over time and contrasts well with the green of the canvas material.

The two different player's products being advertised on the same banner is a great feature.

The Airman Tobaccos used the popularity of the RAF pilots during WW1 in its brand imagery and ties into the collectibility of the WW1 era.

The banner has survived the last almost 100 years well.
