An antique early 20th century bevelled edge oval glass theatre sign

An original antique early 20th century bevelled edge oval glass theatre navigation sign.

Beautifully reverse painted by hand with gilt lettering for STALLS.

This charming glass sign would have been suspended from the ceiling in a theatre, helping to direct patrons to the stalls.

The elegant shape and clear glass, with striking bright gold lettering is certainly still eye catching.

The sign still has its original suspension chain.

Dimensions:-

Width - 60.5cm

Height - 20.2cm

Full drop when hanging is 62.5cm.

A rare survivor given its age and fragility.

In nice original condition, some minor age related wear and tear to the painted lettering.

No evidence or repair or restoration.

One small chip to top centre edge.

Hanging brackets are well fixed.

Given the glass is fragile, the sign would need to be collected from our South Yorkshire showroom. If you wish to send your own reputable courier to collect on your behalf, please ensure the following:-
