An antique clockwork musical toleware fabric flower and butterfly automaton
Code: 10351
Dimensions:
A late 19th century antique toleware clockwork fabric flower and butterfly automaton.
With charming hand made and painted fabric roses set into a toleware plant pot. The pot houses a clockwork mechanism which when wound and activated plays "Oh Susanna".
The mechanism also animates the two colourful fabric butterflies which appear to hover and flutter above the flowers.
The automaton is fully operational, with a key which must be turned to wind up the mechanism. There is a pull out arm which once extended brings the display to life and activates the music. To stop the movement and sound the arm is simply pushed in.
