An antique late 19th century religious oil on canvas, depicting the crucifixion.
Well accomplished and with fine details to the body of Christ.
A great size and sits well unframed, perfect to hang or place on a piece of furniture.
The colour palette gives a level of sorrow to the image, this would certainly sit nicely amongst an ecclesiastical display.
The very subtle indication of landscape helps to focus the eye on the central figure on the cross.
Dimensions:
Height - 30.7cm
Width - 24.5cm
With some age related wear, small holes to the right hand side of the canvas.
Some historic repairs.
