Provenance: From the private collection of Parisian antique dealer Claude Ghirardi, purchased from a Parisian auction house.
The mask survives in ancient condition, with age related loss to some of the gesso, also a section of the nose is lacking. Given the mask’s age the gesso surface is somewhat fragile, this should be considered when shipping is concerned.
We will endeavour to pack the mask with upmost care and ship with UPS. However collection in person may be preferred, which can be arranged at the point sale.
We cannot guarantee some of the gesso may be disturbed during transit.
