An 18th century antique English oak gateleg table
Code: 10371
Dimensions:
A charming 18th century English oak gateleg table of nice proportions.
The plank top has developed fantastic natural polished patina and shows its long life of use. To either side are the large leaves which when extended form a wide oval table.
The gate legs work on a simple pivot which easily support the hefty oak leaves.
Built with peg construction and hand forged iron pegs as illustrated.
The historic stains to the oak top give a great deal of character to the table.
The oak grain is well figured.
The option to raise one or both sides allows for flexibility within the intended setting. Quite often gateleg tables are placed up to a wall where one of the drop leaves remain down. Then when a larger seating option is required it can be set up fully.
An ideal dining option where flexibility during the week is required.
The table will seat six comfortably.
