A rare vintage Spanish metal doll head mould

A rare vintage Spanish metal doll head mould, with comical characteristics.

This wonderful piece of industrial salvage would have been used in a factory to produce dolls heads, with a material injected into the interior.

Formed with little boy like face, exaggerated expression and large eyes and wearing a cap. Showing great colouration developed from the manufacturing processes. 

Doll head moulds are sought after and incredibly decorative in their own right.

This design is unlike others we have seen before, most likely for a small run of dolls produced for a toy company in Spain, and only retailed in the one country.

The ring to the back of the mould allows it to be hung on a wall, alternatively it can be displayed stood up right.
