An antique late 19th century The Green Howards regimental flag.

Double sided and made from cotton, the square flag has an applique scroll with hand painted gilt lettering, along with the regimental badge to the centre.

Mounted to a short wooden pole to allow it to be carried. 

The Green Howards (Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment).

Often referred to as The Yorkshire Regiment until the 1920s.

Dimensions:-

59cm x 67cm

With some minor staning and small holes but a good early example.
