A rare and unusual late 18th century painted pine corner tavern settle.

Salvaged from a 14th century pub in Devon.

In its original painted finish which has worn to create a wonderful patina.

This high back settle was made to sit into the corner of a room, with constructed with one side slightly wider than the other.

Settles are highly sought after for use in interior design for both residential and commercial use.

This would be an ideal addition to a kitchen / dining space. Also this would be great for a bar or cafe.

Examples of this design are not common.

The settle is raised on sleigh style supports, with a very useful cubby space below the bench seat.

The dull and worn painted pine shows fantastic character and makes for a real stand out piece.

The long life of use in the tavern really comes through and the history adds to the settles desirability.
