A beautiful 18th century English elm candle stool.
Rock solid, with beautiful pronounced configured grain to the thick and chunky seat.
The many years of use have produced the most amazing patina.
Of traditional country construction with through tenon joints on each of the four stick legs.
To the seat's underside are a series of indistinct impressed letters in a cross formation.
The size and the incredible smooth surface makes the stool very tactile. Certainly one to have hanging around close by.
Dimensions :-
Height - 16cm
Width - 22.5cm
Depth -19cm
Incredibly well constructed and still rock solid.
Age related wear and tear.
